indieland's 30 Days of Christmas - Day 19 - Chicago Indie Weekend Guide, Holiday Edition! Dec 14-16

Discover and support independent and small businesses this holiday season!

More holiday markets and festivities this weekend continue to provide plenty of opportunities to shop small and local this holiday season!

Dial Bookshop Christmas Party

Friday, December 14, 5-9PM

On your way to doing some shopping on State Street or Michigan Ave (or when you're taking a break from the madness), stop in for the holiday party at The Dial Bookshop. There will be festive treats and a local artist painting custom ornaments from 5-8PM. And from the looks of their Instagram photo, the store is all decorated for the holiday and looks quite cozy!

Chicago Art Girls Holiday Pop-Up

December 15-16, 11AM-5PM

The Chicago Art Girls Annual Pop-Up Shop features over 40 women artists, all offering unique handmade items that make for great gifts for yourself or others. They describe the show as "unpretentious, fun, easy to shop," which sounds great to us! Parking and admission are free.

The Chicago Art Girls also sponsor high-valued raffles of artwork to benefit a local charity. Over the years, they say they've raised over $12k. At this year's holiday pop-up, benefits from the raffle will go to Common Pantry.

Note that you can also grab lunch at the show from one of their artisan food purveyors, so when you're ready for a break, grab a bite!

Holiday Market at Lo Rez Brewery & Taproom

December 15-16, 1PM-5PM

This Holiday Market features rotating vendors selling local goods (food, art, jewelry, ceramics, hand craft items, baked goods, & more). As you shop, you can enjoy live music and a hot chocolate bar featuring Lo Rez beer. You'll also have the chance to learn more about how you can give back to Chicagoans in need this Holiday season. The event is free, but there is a $5 suggested donation benefiting Sprouting Leaders.

Revolution Craft Show

Sunday, December 16, 12-6PM

The Revolution Craft Show (being held at the Revolution Tap Room on Kedzie) will feature hand-crafted holiday goods from more than 40 local artists. It's free to attend and provides a unique mix of crafts, beer, and food trucks.

Enjoy your #indiechristmas shopping!
